By fast reeling, you can dive deeper and deeper, and then by reeling at a constant speed, you can maintain the depth you have reached.
Then, when you stop reeling, it floats up.
You can change the water depth you want to target by changing the reeling speed, and carrying the lure to the layer where fish are present will lead to better fishing results.
There is no need to put any action into the rod, the lure is controlled by reeling speed.
