SHIMANO ANTARES BAITCAST REEL

Designed specifically for freshwater fishing, this premium low-profile reel blends a sleek, modern profile with some of Shimanos most advanced reel technologies. Its compact magnesium Hagane body is both lightweight and rigid, providing the strength and support needed for high-performance fishing while keeping weight to a minimum for all-day comfort.

At its core, the reel features a super-lightweight MGL III spool supported by S3D spool design, delivering reduced start-up inertia and longer, more accurate casts. Whether you’re pitching tight structure or working long-distance presentations, this design gives you superior control and consistency. Silent Tune technology further refines casting performance by minimising spool vibration, resulting in quieter, smoother, and more precise lure placement.

Smooth cranking power is provided by the X-Ship pinion support system and Shimanos precision Micro Module Gearing, ensuring durability and fluid gear engagement under pressure. The premium SVS Infinity Braking System allows for fast, on-the-fly brake adjustments via an external dial, giving anglers precise control over spool speed in a wide range of conditions.

Inside, a refined 10+1 bearing system contributes to the reels effortless retrieve, while the advanced drag system delivers up to 11 pounds of smooth, reliable drag. Whether you’re skipping jigs under overhangs or launching lures across open water, this reel is built to meet the high standards of serious freshwater anglers who demand premium performance with every cast.
